This is a significant and exciting weekend for us as a church as we celebrate the dedication of our new building. While we always remember that the Church is People - and People who love God and neighbour - having a place to call home is a gift and a joy, and as I've discovered, Trinity hasn't always had such a place.

As we gather this weekend, there are some of us who are new to Trinity and may not know our story, and some who have been here for generations and have lived our story, but nonethless, God has brought us together in this time and place to love and serve Him. And so, as we gather, we do so with hearts of thankfulness and worship to God, and with a spirit of anticipation and submission as we trust Him for what lies ahead.

If you're still uncertain of what's happening over the weekend, then I've attached a flyer for Saturday and included some details at the end of this email, but here's a quick summary...

Saturday:

2.00pm - Official Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (front entrance)

2-4pm - Fun Day Activities & Open Day

6.00pm - Dedication Service

7.30pm - Ceilidh

Sunday:

10.30pm - Celebration Service

We also have "TeaTime @ Trinity" on Sunday evening at 6pm - so don't miss out!

Finally, let me leave you with some words of scripture as we approach this weekend. God has been with us, is with us, and will be with us as we step into the days ahead. As we do, let these words encourage us as we give thanks to God - from Haggai 2:6-9...

‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,” says the Lord Almighty. “The silver is mine and the gold is mine,” declares the Lord Almighty. “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,” says the Lord Almighty. “And in this place I will grant peace,” declares the Lord Almighty.’

Hallelujah and Amen!

Grace & Peace.

Ian

WEEKEND DETAILS FROM LAST EMAILS....

SATURDAY 30th April

2pm We'll welcome you from 1.45pm as we gather for our short RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY - hopefully outside! This will be our first official act of dedication and opening, and will launch us into our OPEN DAY with afternoon entertainment for all ages.
2-4pm Our FUN DAY will include outside and indoor activities for all ages. We'll have Garden Games, challenges, and activties for ALL, bouncy castles for the kids, a toddler zone, juggling, tea & coffee - and even our own candy floss maker. We'll also have something called "Our Story Zone" with things to read, watch and listen to that capture our story as a church.
6pm Our DEDICATION SERVICE is the highlight of our weekend as we give thanks to God in worship and praise, hear and respond to His Word, and join in this act of dedication for the new building. We'll be joined by a variety of guests including city and national leaders, and look forward to welcoming Ruth Turner and Jim Ritchie as our guest speakers for the weekend.
7.30pm And finally, we'll finish the day with our CEILIDH, dancing the night away, and enjoying a light supper later in the evening. What a fun way to finish an amazing day!

You'll notice there is a gap in the schedule between 4-6pm. This will give you time to have a rest, maybe pop home, eat some food and then get ready for our 6pm service - or maybe you'd like to dine out in Perth and support the local restaurants before coming back for the service and Ceilidh.

Then...

SUNDAY 1st May will be our Sunday morning celebration service as we give thanks to God for all his goodness and faithfulness through the generations, as well as through these recent years building the new church. We'll be joined again by Jim Ritchie and Ruth Turner, and we'll share communion together as the family of God.
