Trinity Church Refurbishment Project

Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Perth is delighted to have been awarded a £53,000 grant by the Benefact Trust and a £30,000 grant by the Garfield Weston Foundation towards the refurbishment of its historic Grade C listed church building on York Place. The project started in Spring 2025 and will be completed towards the end of the year. Most of the funding has been raised through church members and church grants and loans.  The building is being refurbished internally to a high standard with new rooms, flooring and facilities to ensure it is suitable for community and church groups to use. The rooms will be available for hire. A new glass frontage will be built looking on to York Place. Through this development the church will be able to extend its reach welcoming various local/regional organisations and community groups, as well as providing spaces for meetings and hospitality and working more effectively with addictions and recovery groups, asylum seekers, refugees and for people who need support and a listening ear.

Lead Pastor Ian Wills says “We are so thankful to the Benefact Trust and the Garfield Weston Foundation. Their generosity will allow us to fulfil our vision of serving and blessing the city through increased capacity and quality of our facilities. However, the refurbished building is really about people and we’re looking forward to welcoming old and new friends to Trinity.”

Trinity Church will have an Open Day in 2026 to welcome friends, partners and guests to view the refurbished building.
