At Trinity we want to bless you as families as you seek to introduce your children to the message of the gospel. It is our desire as a team to sow seeds of God’s Love into each child’s life as we teach them about what it means to follow Jesus. We aim to honour God in everything we do on behalf of your children. “Whoever welcomes one little child such as this in my name welcomes me.” Mark 9:37 (CSB).
Our groups are led and run each week by a team of volunteers who give up their time to serve in this way. All adult volunteers are PVG checked and teen helpers are always supervised. All our volunteers take part in safeguarding training. For more information on our safeguarding policy see the link below. We have volunteers who have basic first aid training. Risk assessments are in place to cover different activities and situations. A lot of preparation goes on behind the scenes to ensure each week runs smoothly.
We will ask you to complete registration and consent details for each child you bring to Trinity Kids, Juniors, Preschool or Crèche. You can find this form at the bottom of this page. This helps us to get it right for your child. We will ask about any health needs, any dietary needs, any special information and consent for photos. If you are just visiting with us, please let the group leader know of any special details for your child.
This session starts at the same time as the main service. Its purpose is to foster a sense of belonging developing old and new friendships, and a sense of purpose in church. Kidz Church provides an opportunity for children to meet God at their own level while developing their own prayer life. Kidz Church provides the opportunity to develop compassion and take action on issues of injustice. The rest of the month children go into the main service and then attend the groups below.
This is a lively group with a fast-paced teaching session following a series of themes each year. Every week there are different activities all relating to the lesson. We use a lot of media, games, activities, craft and a snack to reinforce the theme. An important part of this group is encouraging the children to learn more about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit (the Trinity) and what it means to follow Jesus in their own lives. We also seek to encourage the children to learn about prayer and worship.
In this group children learn about God and Jesus through various bible stories, crafts, music and play activities. A snack is provided as part of this session.
Children can play, explore, and have fun, while being cared for in a safe, nurturing and happy environment. Our older children are supported to transition through to the Preschool class when ready, this is normally around the time they start their ante pre year at nursery.
