 DATE   -  20th April 2024

WALK DETAILS

START TIME 10.30am

DISTANCE 6 miles

MEETING & STARTING PLACE

Quarry Mill Car Park on Isla Road (A93) Just before Scone Palace

DESCRIPTION

Quarrymill has been the site of quarries, mills and woodland since the 14th century. The Annaty Burn & surrounds is packed with bird and plant life (some rare). And there's a charity coffee shop on site too.

Fairly flat walk with some short inclines.

This fine circular walk was created in 2005 to celebrate the bi-centenary of the moving of Scone from its original position near Scone Palace. However we will omit the steep climb to Macduff’s Folly and the Lynedoch Obelisk.

Boots are essential especially if it has rained.

For those who would like a shorter walk the option is to do the Quarry Mill walk.

Unfortunately this walk is not Buggy Friendly due to some of the paths being narrow, bumpy and muddy unless of course you do the shorter Quarry Mill part of the walk.
