CloseTonight we celebrate baptism. It was our sins that sent Jesus to the cross but by Gods great forgiveness and love for us we are washed clean. So why be baptised? It's a public statement of faith - sharing a story of our faith. It's an act of obedience - God calls us to be baptised, so be obedient. And when we're obedient to God's word, we can do what we can only do through Christ. It's a symbol of Jesus' life, death and Resurrection - an outward sign of of an inside change. You're being baptised into a family - baptism bridges the gap between us and God. Share this with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
