Trinity Church & Coronavirus
Following revised official guidance, and on discussion with other district churches the Church Board have issue the following with regards to Trinity and our response to Coronavirus.
Trinity, along with all other district churches, will cease to meet in person with immediate effect for the forseeable future. We support government efforts to reduce and delay the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
Trinity will not however close up, the global church has faced many challenges over the years. The challenge may change but Jesus remains the same yesterday, today and forever.
We therefore encourage everyone to participate in the following:
PRAYER – The church will meet tomorrow at our usual time of 1930 for prayer, however we will instead meet here on our Facebook page. Pastor Jim will lead us in a time of worship and prayer for our church, city and nation at this challenging time.
SERVICES – Trinity will continue to share in Word & Spirit ministry through our services. These will be online at our usual time of 1030am on Sundays – available here on our website, on our facebook page facebook.com/trinitychurchperth or on YouTube.
For those who cannot utilise online means we will provide recordings of the sermon on CD or full recordings of the service by DVD.
We support all district churches, and local churches within Perth in their efforts to continue to spread the gospel through these times. We welcome other churches and groups to make use of the materials we produce at no charge, provided the materials are properly attributed.
PASTORAL CARE – Please get in touch with your small group leader, the pastoral team or here on the Facebook page if you require pastoral care, including if you are having to self-isolate due to the outbreak. We will continue to provide practical and spiritual support for all who need it.
MINISTRY – Our compassionate ministries will continue to reach out to those most at need in our society. We will not retreat from society, reducing infection but creating a new problem of a lost people without basic essentials. Whilst we will make appropriate adjustments and precautions, The Ark will continue to offer food and supplies on a Tuesday evening.
We will provide further updates here, as well as via our MyTrinity system. If you haven’t yet signed up, please do so at trinitychurchperth.org/mytrinity-signup
We continue to pray for these circumstances, and ask that everyone does the same. Please pray for us and particularly the church leadership as we make these significant changes at short notice.
